This paper addresses the challenges as well as the benefits related to the introduction of Computer Based Training (CBT) Techniques in higher education. We describe the methodological concepts that directed our efforts towards the deployment of multimedia enhanced teaching material to support selected computer science lessons and we also provide a preliminary evaluation taken from a six months real educational scenario in a Greek higher education Institution.
