The current chapter presents and analyses an intelligent information system dedicated to scene modelling using the declarative design by hierarchical decomposition methodology. The aim is to develop a set of rules and standards, which constitute a functional process and data framework covering a wide range of similar systems. The basic mechanisms of the specific design process models are exposed. The scene representation methods are defined combined with a strong semantic dimension of the system and a three abstraction layers norm. A special scene database system within a dedicated informational and knowledge environment are exposed. The software system architecture of such a range of systems is defined. Finally, a pilot software system is used in order to concretise its results. © 2009 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
