Nowadays the general trend is the elder's residency at home. As a consequence, occupational therapists focus on maintaining the occupations and the roles which are important for older people both at home and the community. Specifically home environment is a central point of elderly's life and a basic factor in maintaining their autonomy and independence. It may also affect their feelings about their home and significantly restrict their activities that carry out inside home. Keeping control of when, how and what kind or activities they perform, is recorded as a necessity by the people of this age. Research findings confirm that the elderly give great importance to their independence, and to daily life activities. The activities which they are involved and consider them important lead to a considerable life satisfaction. The present study focuses on occupational therapy intervention at home because the adaptation of the environment -not the individual's adjustment to itcombined with the culture of the individual and his/her personal interests ensure higher quality of life.
