Η αναγκαιότητα των πληροφοριακών οργανισμών καθίσταται όλο και εντονότερη διανύοντας την εποχή της πληροφορίας (Μπώκος, 2001). Οι χρήστες προσπαθώντας να καλύψουν τις πληροφοριακές τους ανάγκες απευθύνονται σε έμπειρους εργαζόμενους, επιστήμονες πληροφόρησης, προκειμένου να εξυπηρετηθούν. Εντούτοις πολλές φορές εντοπίζονται φαινόμενα αγενούς συμπεριφοράς απέναντι στους εργαζόμενους από τους πελάτες. Με τον όρο: «αγενής συμπεριφορά πελάτη» αναφερόμαστε κατά κύριο λόγο στο κοινωνικό άγχος που δημιουργείται στην εργασία (Penney & Spector, 2005) και συνδέεται με αρνητικά αποτελέσματα, συμπεριλαμβανομένης και της συναισθηματικής εξάντλησης (Kern & Grandey, 2009). Το κοινωνικό άγχος σχετίζεται άμεσα με τις κοινωνικές περιστάσεις και με την αλληλεπίδραση με άλλους ανθρώπους. Έντονο αίσθημα φόβου κυριεύει το άτομο για την κρίση των άλλων (Leitenberg, 1990). Ο χρήστης- πελάτης πολλές φορές παραβιάζει κοινωνικούς κανόνες αμοιβαίου σεβασμού και ευγένειας και σύμφωνα με τους Andersson και Pearson (1999), με ένταση παρεμβαίνει και παρεμποδίζει το ρόλο του εργαζόμενου. Φυσικό επακόλουθο αυτής της τάσης εντοπίζεται στις στάσεις και τη συμπεριφορά των εργαζομένων (Cortina, Magley, Williams, & Langhout, 2001). Η πτυχιακή εργασία παρουσιάζει αλλά και ερευνά δεδομένα από τη διεθνή βιβλιογραφία που σχετίζονται με τη μη αποδεκτή συμπεριφορά των χρηστών καθώς και με τον αντίκτυπο αυτής στην αποδοτικότητα και στη ψυχολογία των εργαζομένων σε οργανισμούς πληροφόρησης. Μέσα από δομημένο ερωτηματολόγιο που διανεμήθηκε στο προσωπικό των πληροφοριακών οργανισμών συλλέχθηκαν σημαντικά δεδομένα που παρουσιάζουν την κατάσταση που αντιμετωπίζουν οι εργαζόμενοι, όσον αφορά την αγένεια ορισμένων χρηστών. Επίσης προτείνονται βελτιωτικές δράσεις, προκειμένου το φαινόμενο να μειωθεί καθώς οι συνέπειες που προκύπτουν επηρεάζουν αρνητικά, τόσο την προσωπικότητα του ατόμου, όσο και εργασιακή του καθημερινότητα.The necessity of information organizations is becoming more and more intense in the information age (Bokos, 2001). Users trying in order to fulfill their informational needs are targeted at experienced workers, information scientists, in order to serve them. Nevertheless, he phenomenon of “customer incivility” between employees and users of the information organization is very often. With the term "customer incivility" we refer primarily to the social stress created at work (Penney & Spector, 2005) and is associated with negative outcomes, including emotional exhaustion (Kern & Grandey, 2009). Social anxiety is directly related to social circumstances and to interacting with other people. A strong sense of fear dominates the individual for the judgment of others (Leitenberg, 1990). The client-user often violates social rules of mutual respect and courtesy and, according to Andersson and Pearson (1999), he intensely interferes to the role of the employee. A natural consequence of this trend observed at the attitude and behavior of workers. It is important to note that employees are the key to providing high quality services but daily suffering has harmful consequences for their well-being (Cortina, Magley, Williams, & Langhout, 2001). The thesis presents and explores data from the international literature related to the unacceptable behavior of the users as well as its impact on the efficiency and the psychology of the employees in information organizations. Through a structured questionnaire distributed to information organization staff, important data was gathered to illustrate the situation faced by workers as regards the rudeness of some users. Improving actions are also proposed to reduce the phenomenon as the resulting effects negatively affect both the personality of the person and his daily routine.
