The European CrossCult project, dedicated to the enhancement anddissemination of European cultural heritage thanks to new tech-nologies, has offered the possibility to compare different researchfields and, at the same time, to develop new methodological ap-proaches. IT experts, computing engineers, historians, art historiansand archaeologists have worked in four pilots for developing seman-tic knowledge and technological tools useful to create meaningfulinteractive experiences, both for individuals and groups.
