The objective of the recent research study is the examination of nutritional habits of students of Nursing Department
of SEYP at TEI of Lamia. Subject matter was constituted (n=506) by students of the Nursing Department
of Technological Institute of Lamia (78, 3% [396] Girls, 21,7% [110] Boys) of all semesters, who completed an
anonymous questionnaire. It derived from this study’s results that students prefer home food at a percentage of
59,1% (299), breakfast at 33,8% (171), olive oil at 77,9% (394), meat at 94,9% (480) (with a prepotency of pork
meat of 38,1% ([193]), fish at 84,2% (426), fruits at 28,9% (146).
In conclusion, if young people adopted appropriate eating habits, they will have high quality of life the next
years of their lives. It is imperative that the young be convinced of the fact that health is a human right. This,
however, is combined with certain obligations that dictate active by participants and constant effort.
