The present paper is based on research conducted in the municipality of Chaidari - Athens aiming at gathering essential statistical data, in depth study of juvenile delinquency as well as the investigation of effective ways of intervention as far as prevention is concerned. Our research hypothesis focused on the philosophical and sociological tradition of communilarianism and the extent to which it can be a theoretical tool for the formation of crime prevention programs in local level. The solution presupposes equal and active participation even of the socially disclosed, in community life which will result the cultural and structural development of those communities These thoughts constitute the theoretical canvas of the present research work.
