heal.abstract	In this paper, some aspects of the usefulness of intelligent techniques in environmental data processing are discussed. The capabilities of neural networks in improving memory requirements for storage of environmental data and the increase in processing speed are analyzed. Finally, a software package for processing multi-source (geophysical, geochemical, satellite, etc.) data using various neural, fuzzy, multimodular, pattern-recognition and image processing algorithms is presented.	en
