heal.abstract	Caesarean section rate is rising the last years in Greece. Although it is a common operation, it is evident that it has the most significant long-term consequences for women of childbearing age. Since, the rising Caesarean Section rate affects perinatal outcomes; it is also a major public health issue. Therefore, it is necessary the clinicians to consider the reasons of this fact and to inform pregnant women. Moreover, strategies should be developed by the government in order to reduce the rate of Caesarean Section.	en
