heal.abstract	We study the numerical treatment of a system of a second order boundary value problem which rises in the numerical prediction of meteorological parameters. This problem has a special quadratic form. We apply finite differences and we focus on the numerical solution of the nonlinear system that has to be solved and study various modifications of methods that take into account the special form of the system.	en
