heal.abstract | A telluric station was installed on Crete in the South Aegean in order to investigate the existence of transient electric variations before large near intermediate-depth earthquakes. During the experiment, two transient electric variations (not correlated with geomagnetic variations) were recorded and associated with two time isolated intermediate-depth earthquakes with local magnitude ML 5.8 and 4.8, respectively. Finally a qualitative discussion on the form of the electric signal, based on the charge dislocation model, is presented. | en |
