heal.abstract | In this work we describe the implementation of a baseband SC-FDMA (Single Carrier- Frequency Division Multiple Access) transceiver, intended for educational as well as research purposes. The SC-FDMA system level design and simulation is done using Matlab/Simulink and the implementation is done using the TMS320C6713 DSK from Texas Instruments Inc. The cooperation of Matlab IDE and Code Composer Studio IDE allow for code generation directly from Simulink blocks, offering a flexible way from system level design and simulation to actual implementation and verification. We examine both localized (LFDMA) and distributed (DFDMA) SC-FDMA, exploring the basic building blocks that constitute them. Results concerning the experimental demonstration and evaluation of the system are presented as well. Extended with appropriate external ADC and DAC hardware to meet broadband communications specifications and technical requirements, the design procedure can be easily adopted for research purposes. | en |
