heal.abstract | We describe here the design, laboratory implementation and performance of an inexpensive yet reliable beam attenuation meter (transmissometer) for coastal ocean environmental monitoring. In its final operational form, this instrument is anticipated to be capable of measuring chlorophyll fluorescence as well.
