heal.abstract | The inversion of the Electroencephalogram (EEG) to intracranial currents enables the reconstruction of brain sources. Brain electrical tomography, based on Evoked Potentials (EPs), may be performed using a variety of techniques, such as Algebraic Reconstruction Techniques (ART), Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) and Tikhonov Regularization Techniques (TRT). In the present study a strategy is proposed for selecting the most appropriate inversion technique. The decision is based on the success of existing criteria for computing optimum parameters for the TRT and SVD techniques, on the condition number of the lead-field matrix and the information available concerning the noise, which corrupts the EPs. | en |
