Abstract: The growth of, which is considered the fastest growing sector of tourism, is directly relative to the constantly developing environmental and social sensitivity (of a large number of people of the developed world) for the negative consequences of mass tourism and the real value of natural environment. Even though once, ecotourism was considered a small market which offered very specific activities, lately it is being considered a very important and widespread market which offers natural and cultural products. The demand for ecotourism isn’t covered anymore by small SME’s or tourism offices but from big Tourist Operators giving a great “push forward” for the specific sector and reinforcing in the same time the economies of the target areas.
