heal.abstract	Guaranteed Minimum Income is thought to be an effective and flexible tool of the modern welfare state. This report presents a rigorous and manageable description of the schemes provided by the 27 E.U. member states (excepting Greece that is currently developing a GMI scheme) and the 4 states participating in EFTA. In each case, there is a thorough presentation of the nature and the accessibility of each GMI scheme and the criteria of admission required by each state. In the final chapter of this report, there can be found the main problems encountered in the implementation of GMI in Greece. Best practices and suggestions on how the Greek GMI scheme will be optimized are also a core part of this study. In conclusion, the importance of the Greek implementation of GMI is underlined while the risks concerning the labor market are taken into consideration.	en
