Our target group consisted of 111 employees working in Sterilization Departments of Attica's hospitals. They completed questionnaires after obtaining permission from the administration of the hospitals and their own consensus. The analysis was conducted with the program SPSS. In our target group there were 96 women (86.5%) and 15 men (13.5%). The 19 employees (38%) declared that they had allergic symptoms and 29 (26.1%) respiratory problems. The 12.6% of the employees had behavioral disorders. In conclusion, the existing conditions in CSSD are very difficult and make them even more difficult the facts that are situated in dark rooms without natural light. Furthermore, disinfectants are used by the employees without groper training.
