heal.abstract	Σκοπός: Σκοπός αυτής της εργασίας είναι να παρουσιάσει τη συμβολή του υπερηχογραφήματος στη διερεύνηση της προβολής του θύμου αδένα σε υψηλή θέση στη βάση του τραχήλου, μιας ασυνήθους, αλλά καλοήθους κλινικής οντότητας της παιδικής ηλικίας. Ασθενείς-Μέθοδοι: Σε διάστημα 4 ετών μελετήθηκαν 9 παιδιά, ηλικίας 20 ημερών έως 6 ετών. Ο έλεγχος του τραχήλου έγινε με πομποδέκτη ευρέως φάσματος 5-12 MHz σε ύπτια θέση κατά τη δοκιμασία Valsava (στα μεγαλύτερα παιδιά) ή με το κλάμα ή το βήχα (στα μικρότερα). Αποτελέσματα: Σε όλα τα παιδιά απεικονίσθηκε σε πραγματικό χρόνο ο θύμος αδένας να προβάλλει στη βάση του τραχήλου κατά τη δοκιμασία Valsava,ή με το βήχα ή το κλάμα. Συμπέρασμα: Το υπερηχογράφημα αποτελεί μέθοδο εκλογής για την ανάδειξη του θύμου αδένα ως αίτιο διαλείπουσας τραχηλικής διόγκωσης κατά την αύξηση της ενδοθωρακικής πίεσης.	el
heal.abstract	Sonographic findings and b) to highlight the role of us in the diagnostic approach of children with intermittent inferior cervical swelling. During a 4-year period, 9 children, 20-d to 6-y old, were sonographically evaluated with high-frequency 5-12 MHz transducers. Parents had first noted the inferior cervical swelling, which enlarged on crying or coughing. In all cases, superior herniation of the normal mediastinal thymus gland into the lower anterior neck was demonstrated. This finding was more prominent during Valsava maneuver or during crying or coughing. In conclusion, the role of sonography is really significant in the diagnostic investigation of the normal mediastinal thymus gland into the lower anterior neck was demonstrated. In conclusion, the role of sonography is really significant in the diagnostic investigation of the intermittent inferior cervical swelling.
