heal.abstract | We present frst results of a computational study of the flow past a circular cylinder with inflow shear. We solve the two-dimensional Navier-Stokes equa- tions for a Reynolds number equal to 400 (based on the mean inflow velocity and the cylinder diameter), using a Legendre spectral element method. Our results indicate that, even for low vales of the inflow velocity ratio, the wake structure can be substantially affected. | en |
